Join us on Saturday, July 1, 2023, as we travel to Carroll County, VA. We will have lunch at the historic Hillsville Diner (on your own). This diner is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. We tour the Carroll County Museum and the historic courtroom where the April 1912 tragedy took place. We will tour the J. Sidna Allen house which is a historic Queen Anne style home located near Fancy Gap. We will drive along the Highway 52 which was the major highway prior to I-77. We will show you other things as time allows.
PRICE PER PERSON: $50. Full amount is due when reservation is made.

DEPARTURE TIMES AND LOCATIONS: Roanoke Parks and Rec bus/van will depart at 9:00 a.m. from Valley View Mall, Roanoke, VA (overflow parking lot. Between Belk and I-581). We pick up at Food Lion, exit 137, Salem, at 9:15 a.m. We will depart from Hardee’s, exit 118, Christiansburg, at 9:35 a.m. Return time is around 7:00 p.m.
CANCELLATION POLICY: The trip is based on a minimum amount of paid participants by June 15, 2023. If we cancel the trip, a full refund will be given. If you cancel prior to June 15, a refund less $20 will be awarded. After June 15, there will be no refunds.
